The Strandhill Community Park 50 / 50 draw for July took place this week with Nicky Broujos of Jako, one of our premium sponsor partners, drawing the lucky numbers.
Jako, based in Markievicz Road in Sligo has a broad range of premium quality corporate, work, leisure and of course sportwear. The brand is instantly recognisable in Sligo and throughout Ireland with many clubs across a range of sports proudly wearing the Jako brand.
As a former FAI Cup-winning goalkeeper, it was appropriate that the number 1 was the first picked out by Nicky (pictured on the left with Committee member Paraic Casey). Hearty congratulations to all the winners this month and thanks again to Nicky and the team at Jako for hosting the draw.
€300 Anne O'Toole, Strandhill
€200 John Bartlett, Strandhill
€100 Aisling O'Connor, Strandhill
€100 Julie Farrell, Strandhill
A big thank you and welcome to new members who have joined in July. We are aiming to get to 200 members so that we can continue to make improvements to the park, which has most recently seen the addition of new outdoor gym equipment as well as repairs and upgrading of the children’s play area thanks to grants from Sligo Leader and funds raised from Strandhill’s Fittest Family.
We are edging closer to 150 draw members which will push the monthly prize fund up to €750 with €350 for the first out of the hat and €200 for second, so please continue to like, share and comment on the draw on your social media accounts and help get all the community behind the park development.

The draw only costs €10 each month - the equivalent cost of a cup of coffee each week !
Our target is to get 200 people so that we can service the debt on the park development and continue to improve the facilities.
When you have signed up we are encouraging everyone to use the hashtag #StrandhillIveSignedUp to use on their social media and to promote the draw
The draw takes place each month and winners will be contacted by phone with results published across the club’s social media channels.
The park development draw supports the bank loans which the club have taken on to develop and maintain the community park in Strandhill. The club has invested €1.3m in the park since its inception and has recently completed a €250,000 project which includes a floodlit community walkway, spectator facilities and convert the park into an environmentally friendly park - called ECO Park.
The 50/50 draw is very simple. 50% of the income is paid out in prize money each month ! This is unusual as it is a high percentage but the club wants to ensure good prize money for those joining the draw.
We now have almost 150 people signed up so please pass on the message on your social media and help get all the community behind the park development.
