Strand Celtic are delighted to have been successful in attracting over €135,000 in funding through Sligo County Council and Sports Capital Grants in recent months which will go towards resurfacing our Astro pitch and replacing the flood-lights on the main pitch.

We'd like to acknowledge the support and invaluable advice of former councillor, Sinead Maguire in advancing the Community Recognition grant with Sligo County Council and Frank Feighan in securing Sports Capital funding.

Now comes the hard work! We want to put a team or teams together to help with the finalisation of the electrical works in the clubhouse, the replacement of the astro surface and main pitch floodlights as well as securing grants and improvements to our playgrounds.

Help can be anything from technical knowledge, grant application expertise, or simply wanting to ensure your voice is heard in the design of the future needs of the community park.
